The Best of Bacon and Onion Dip

I love to use the Trauth Dairy Bacon and Onion Dip. Here are a few of my ideas.

The Best of Bacon and Onion Dip

Try a dollop of the Bacon and Onion dip on a piping hot bowl of tomato soup. It's terrific.

When I make egg salad sandwiches, I mash up the boiled eggs with a fork and just add the Bacon and Onion dip to moisten, then add a little coarse pepper and you'll have a sandwich fit for a king.

As a side dish, I often wash a few fresh mushrooms, remove the stems, and fill the caps with a mixture of Bacon and Onion dip and finely chopped bell peppers. Then I sprinkle them with parmesan cheese, put them in a buttered dish, add a tiny bit of water and bake at 375 for about 20 minutes. How fun and delicious!

We try to eat lots of green vegetables and if you want to really enjoy those steamed Brussels sprouts, try topping them with a creamy sauce made of Bacon and Onion dip and a dash of Tabasco, sprinkled with a little paprika. A real winner!

We are also big potato eaters and our favorite topping is a mixture of half Trauth Dairy Sour Cream and half mayonnaise. Add some grated sharp cheddar cheese and a sprinkling of Italian herbs and salt and pepper. There is nothing like it on top of a fluffy baked potato. If I boil little red potatoes, I then toss them with the same mixture, except I omit the Italian herbs and add a little dill weed. Everyone comes back for seconds.
