Bev’s Chili Con Queso

Golly, when I open a container of Trauth Dairy Whipping Cream, it’s like being a kid again out on our farm. It doesn't get any better than that 40% heavy cream! When your refrigerator is stocked with several quarts, you are always ready for a quick treat.

We have lots of grandchildren around and when they drop over on a crisp, cool evening, I know they'll say “How about some Chili con Queso?” It’s quick and easy to stir up. We first put out a big bowl of tortilla chips and cold glasses of apple juice. Boy! Is it good!

Bev’s Chili Con Queso

Melt: 3 tbs Trauth Butter
Add: 3 tbs flour, 1/2 tsp salt

Slowly stir in: 1 cup Trauth Whipping Cream

Cook 2-3 minutes

Add: 1 can Green Chilies, 1 can tomatoes (these can be smashed up), 8 oz Shredded Cheese (I use medium cheddar)

Serve hot!

Our neighbors enjoy this when they drop over for lunch. I serve it with fresh vegetable sticks and chips. You'll be making this real often!
